On January 13-14, Yesil University hosted a two-day seminar, Akademiialyq Adaldyq Ligasy, dedicated to the institutionalization of academic integrity in universities. The training was attended by representatives of the management, faculty and administrative staff.
The seminar focused on practical work with academic integrity not as an abstract ethical category, but as a managed system embedded in university processes.
Day one: Risk management and the role of the university community
During the first day, the participants reviewed:
- Academic integrity at the institutional level and its place in the university management system;
- principles and logic of Monitoring the League of Academic Integrity;
- typical risks and mistakes of universities in the field of academic integrity;
- The role of administration, faculty, and students in fostering a sustainable culture of academic integrity.
Practical tasks became a key element of the day. The participants identified risk areas for academic dishonesty at their universities, formed a risk profile for the OVPO, conducted an express audit of the management unit, redesigned academic assignments to increase their resistance to plagiarism, and developed student initiatives to promote academic integrity.
