This was revealed during surveys conducted among university staff and students by the Agency for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption.

The data on corruption within higher education institutions was gathered during surveys among university staff and students by the Agency. As a result, some top officials and professors were dismissed from their positions.

“We are currently setting a goal for universities to join the Academic Integrity League based at KAZGUU. We will provide more details when we have the results. Currently, 12 educational institutions are part of the League,” said Zhannar Taizhanova, the head of the “Adaldyk Alany” project office, during a briefing at the Agency for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption.

In addition to this, Taizhanova urged journalists to get involved in the fight against corruption, not only by reporting on criminal acts but also by actively participating in anti-corruption efforts.
