Publication date: 28.10.2024

From September 30th to October 14th, 2024, the Academic Integrity League held a large-scale student Media Contest on Academic Integrity.

Students from 8 member universities of the League participated in the contest, namely the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov, Almaty Management University, Kazakh-British Technical University, North Kazakhstan University named after M. Kozybayev, SDU University, University of International Business, and South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov. The students submitted 46 works to the judging panel: articles, videos, podcasts, infographics, and posters.

The analysis of the submitted works demonstrated both a high level of student engagement in discussing the issue of Academic Integrity and significant challenges associated with the use of Artificial Intelligence in creating the works. Despite this, the contest showed that students are increasingly aware of the importance of adhering to ethical standards in academic activities.

The authors of the top 3 best works were awarded personalized certificates and valuable prizes. All other participants also received personalized certificates for their active participation in the contest.
